My last name, one given to me, reveals a part of me I don't quite identify with. I was raised by a single mother, and some might say we were nomadic, venturing from place to place about 5 times until we found our home in Brooklyn.

For me, this is where I have found comfort. A sense of community and social acceptance that comes with several places and the overall atmosphere emitted by the New York air. But this air is one you take in your own way and see what you can make of it. How you inhale. Slowly. Deeply. Or how you exhale. Quickly. At all?
Reaching year 20 of my life has given me enough time to come to terms with most things about myself. For one, it is comfort with who I am and the nature in which I want to pursue my artistry. When I was young, I faced an experience that can't be summed up in the one word we use to describe it. Bullying. Going into it is not my interest, but growing from it is.
I have learned to embrace my voice, to speak out on my beliefs and interest, and to define myself by my own standards. Through theater I have had the opportunity to expand the horizons of my reach through monologue. As a creative in this field, reading people and the ways in which they express themselves has further driven my interest in the methods I can use to find my sounds and the right words to depict the emotion. Expression, for me, is a tool I use in more than one form these being sonically, as well as visually.
Our eyes are able to take in countless beauty through blinks and for each one I choose an image.
