Rubric for Assignment 1: Define a Place

This is what you'll be graded on for your first assignment:

Shooting (technical): Was it in focus, exposed properly, 1/50th of a second, steady and/or tripod, correct frame rate

Shooting (framing): Were the frames intentional?  Was there visual variety? Were they communicating the feel of the space? No pans, zooms, tilts or handheld dynamic without express consent

Following instructions: Did they follow the assignment outline?

Timeliness: Did they turn it in on time?

Editing: Did they use the tools taught in lecture and lab?

Team Player/Professionalism/Classroom Etiquette: Did they show up on time on the day of shooting and willfully participate in their partner's project? Did they come to class prepared, with their hard drive? Did they share the workload with their partner? Overall, did they contribute to an effective and supportive classroom/learning environment?
